Who I work with
If your mind never shuts off, your to-do list keeps growing, and rest feels like a productivity loss — you're in the right place.
I work with executives, attorneys, physicians, and operators across PA, NC, and MA who appear composed but are dealing with relentless internal pressure, sleep loss, irritability, and the slow grind of high-functioning anxiety.
You'll get tools, direction, and real strategies that change how you think and operate. Three ways to start.
One-on-one virtual sessions focused on anxiety, burnout, and rebuilding your relationship with rest, sleep, and ambition.
A short, no-pressure call to see whether we're the right fit. I'll ask what's going on, share how I'd approach it, and answer any questions.
Support for partners navigating high-pressure careers, communication strain, or one partner's burnout reshaping the relationship.
About Brooke
I'm Brooke McKenzie, LCSW. I started this practice because high-achieving clients kept telling me the same thing: most therapy felt too soft, too slow, and too vague to fit their lives.
My approach is collaborative but pointed. We name what's actually happening, build something different, and check whether it's working — quickly. You should leave each session knowing what to do next.
"I'd done therapy before and it never moved anything. Three months in with Brooke and I'm sleeping again, my partner notices the difference, and I stopped dreading Mondays."
Pick a time. We'll talk briefly about what's going on and whether I'm a good fit. No commitment, no paperwork.
If we're aligned, we book your intake. You'll get a secure intake form and a video link. Weekly or bi-weekly cadence.
Each session ends with a clear next step. We'll measure progress, adjust, and keep what's working.
Licensed to practice across Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and Massachusetts. All sessions are conducted by secure video.

You book a time, I call you on a secure video link. We spend 15 minutes talking about what's going on and what you're hoping to change. If we're a fit, we schedule your first full session. If not, I'll point you toward someone who is.
I'm a private pay practice. I can provide a superbill if your insurance offers out-of-network reimbursement, but I do not bill insurance directly. This keeps your records private and our work focused.
All sessions are 100% virtual via secure HIPAA-compliant video. This means we can work together whether you're in Pittsburgh, Charlotte, Boston, or anywhere in between — and it fits a packed professional schedule.
It depends on what you're working on. Most clients see meaningful change within 8–12 sessions for a defined goal (sleep, panic, communication patterns). Longer-term work is also common when goals are broader.
I'm direct and action-oriented. I won't just reflect your words back. We name what's happening, build a working theory together, and test it. You'll leave each session knowing what to do next.
A free 15-minute call is the simplest way to see if we're a fit. No paperwork. No commitment.
